What's New For Desk Clock v1.9

This release is a maintenance release to fix some defects with Desk Clock. This will be the last maintenance release prior to the Desk Clock 2.0 release.

  • For reminders, the "Run Command" now works correctly when the command has embedded spaces in the file name and command line arguments are used with the command.
  • In the Standard Edition, reminders are now always shown on top of other windows.
  • The "EAccess Violation" message sometimes displayed when setting additional alternate time zones in the Standard Edition has been corrected.

A New Feature For Desk Clock v1.8

This release is primarily a maintenance release to fix some defects with Desk Clock. However, we did find time to squeeze in a small enhancement.
  • Date color and font control. Many of you requested to be able to change the font, font size and color of the date displayed on Desk Clock. The preferences dialog now allows you to specify these settings for the date.

Fixes in Desk Clock v1.8

  • Date is now updated properly when Desk Clock is left running overnight.
  • For our international customers the date display now honors the local system settings.
  • Changes in screen resolutions to a smaller sizes sometimes caused Desk Clock to be hidden from view. Desk Clock will adjust correctly after a screen resolution change.
  • Some errors related to exiting Desk Clock have been corrected. See readme.txt for more information.

Some New Features For Desk Clock v1.75

This release is primarily a maintenance release to fix some defects with Desk Clock. However, we did find time to squeeze in a few small enhancements.

  • How do I move the clock? This enhancement is in response to our number one question about Desk Clock. Now you can drag Desk Clock around your screen by left clicking (and holding) anywhere on the clock. No more trying to find the tiny little top edge of the clock.
  • Many of you requested to be able to resize Desk Clock smaller. You can make it even smaller now, and in the future we are going to go ultra tiny and even replace the system tray clock.
  • Choosing "Preferences" from the right click popup menu is now context sensitive. It will bring you directly to the tab that best matches where you clicked to get the popup menu.

Fixes in Desk Clock v1.75

  • Popup menu now closes properly when clicked from the system tray icon.
  • Resize of alternate time zone clocks is now correctly restored after exiting and restarting Desk Clock.
  • (Standard Edition only) When using the display reminder feature with multiple reminders set. All reminders will be displayed now.
  • (Standard Edition only) All the known issues with the automatic internet clock synchronization on Windows ME (and other systems) have been resolved.

Additional Features Introduced by Desk Clock v1.5

  • We have added the ability to change the back ground color for the clock face. This was our number one requested enhancement. You can also change the color of the clock frame, the hands on the analog clock and the reminder indicator. All of these color changes are available in both editions of Desk Clock.

(Screen shots below were taken from the Standard Edition, not all of the features shown are available in the Freeware Edition)

  • Desk Clock has always had the reminder feature but we have enhanced the Standard Edition a little to allow you to set up to 10 different reminders. As always, you have the option to play a sound, display a message, run a program or any combination of the three.
